𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗼𝗮𝗱-𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲 🌿🌊 With Van Oord’s installation vessel Boreas arriving to collect the final monopiles, and all 52 monopiles now installed, we have reached another important milestone in the Ecowende project! For Sif, this final load-out marks the completion of our contribution to the project. Together with our partners from Ecowende, Smulders, responsible for the monopiles’ secondary steel, and Van Oord, we celebrated this moment at our Maasvlakte 2 facility and reflected on the strong collaboration behind it. What makes Ecowende especially distinctive is its ecological ambition. The project is designed to support nature and biodiversity in and around the wind farm. As part of that approach, three monopiles were being installed using GBM Works’ VibroJet® technology for the first time, helping to significantly reduce underwater noise without traditional mitigation measures.
