⚡We helped charge the first mass-produced electric car. That was 1996. When General Motors unveiled the EV1 at the LA Auto Show, it introduced something most people had never seen: contactless charging. No exposed wires. No risk of electric shock. Just a plastic handle, a ferrite core, and electromagnetic induction doing the work. The ferrite cores that made it possible — ceramic compounds with special magnetic properties that converted current into electromagnetic fields and back again — came from Siemens Matsushita Components in Munich. ⌛That was 30 years ago. Today, we're focused on a different challenge: delivering high-power charging — be it in public areas or in depots. Reliable hardware, intelligent energy management software, and services optimize operations, making #eMobility part of everyday life. From the materials science behind inductive charging to charging beyond hardware, we've been working on the #electrification of mobility longer than most people realize. The technology has changed. The vision hasn't.
