#ClimateAction starts in the classroom How does climate action look in schools and communities? In Veracruz, Mexico, it starts with the teachers!    Together with Secretaría de Educación de Veracruz (SEV), Fondo Golfo de México (FGM), INNOVEC, and civil society organizations in the second phase of the project Educación en Cambio Climático Veracruz (#ClimateChangeEducation Veracruz) over 600 teachers were trained and 8 climate change education workshops for multipliers were conducted across 8 inland municipalities of the state of Veracruz, Mexico.   This year, our colleague Christine Niewoehner introduced #DesignThinking modules to help teachers transform climate change learning into student-centered projects and local action. Through this methodology, educators explored creative approaches to identify climate challenges with their students and develop practical solutions for their schools and communities. By connecting learning to local realities, the project helps teachers and students understand local climate risks and build resilience through informed action in their communities. The outcome is visible: ✅307 school adaptation projects and environmental initiatives  ✅More than 17,800 students are involved in climate-related learning ✅Improved climate change understanding among participating teachers 👇 Watch the video to learn how teachers have benefited from the project.
