πŸ”‹ πŸ’š Batteries are the heart of e-mobility – yet specialized knowledge is often lacking. Last week, Siemens Stiftung hosted the Advanced Battery Technology Training as a follow-up to the foundational Battery Technology Training held earlier in September in Kenya. πŸ’‘ The training blended theory with extensive practical application. Sessions explored advanced battery chemistries, pack design, performance testing, and lifecycle management, showing how different materials, configurations, and management systems influence safety, efficiency, and durability. πŸ“ˆ Participants then translated concepts into practice through data driven exercises and battery pack assembly, diagnosing performance variations and studying real world behavior using vehicle data and telematics. The final modules examined repurposing, second life use, and recycling, linking technical understanding with sustainability and supply chain awareness. An industry visit to Roam Park provided a view into local product development and testing, linking classroom work to how electric motorcycles and battery systems are being built in practice. ℹ️ This advanced training forms part of Siemens Stiftung’s project Piloting and Prepare to Scale E-Mobility in Kenya, delivered in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft fΓΌr Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH. Through continued technical capacity building with local partners, the program supports practical expertise for clean transport. 🀝🏽 Thank you to our facilitators pManifold EV Academy and DriveElectric e mobility.
