Faster engines, faster engineers.⚡That's the future of EDA that emerged at User2User North America this year. Our speakers explored how EDA is moving beyond traditional workflows toward intelligent, adaptive systems that are built for a different order of design complexity: Da Yang shared how we’re integrating NVIDIA NIM and Nemotron models with our Fuse EDA AI system to enable advanced generative and agentic AI solutions and achieving speedups of 10-100X in critical chip design tasks like simulation, verification, and multiphysics analysis with GPU acceleration. This is the year agentic AI will have “its iPhone moment,” Yang predicted. Nafea Bshara shared how Amazon Web Services (AWS)’ cloud infrastructure, powered by the Graviton4 processor, is enabling engineering teams to scale up efficiently and run EDA simulations 3X+ faster. “A two-and-a-half day run is now less than one day. So, in one week, engineers can run 8-10 simulations instead of two. This is the collaboration between AWS and Siemens that allows us to get the speed of light for chip development,” Bshara said. Jodi Shelton led a discussion with our leaders Ankur Gupta, Jean-Marie Brunet, and Juan Carlos Rey, going deep on the shift to software-defined architectures, AI as a true design partner, and where we’re placing our strategic bets. Will AI eat EDA? “EDA will be transformed by AI – but that transformation will result in better EDA,” Ankur Gupta said. The transformation is already underway, he noted: AI improvements have enabled a 10x productivity boost for engineers in our Aprisa and Solido software. Increasing AI productivity gains will help our customers transform exponential complexity into competitive advantage. What was the standout moment of the day for you? Leave a comment and let us know!
