There is a particular buzz in the Maersk Tower these days as the ESCD2026 Congress is taking place here. LEO Foundation Skin Immunology Research Center (SIC) has been especially involved in the Pre-symposium bringing inspiration on Novel Understanding of Skin Allergies. Advancing our understanding of immune mechanisms is essential for improving the prevention and treatment of inflammatory skin diseases worldwide. The program at the Pre-symposium covered topics ranging from innate and adaptive immune responses to the crosstalk between the immune system and the microbiome, as well as adipose tissue, and emerging therapeutic approaches, including improved targeting of pruritus. The discussions highlighted both the complexity of skin inflammation and the importance of a global perspective in skin immunology. And SIC’s Veronika Mraz Niels Ødum, and Jonathan Coquet chaired the sessions to perfection. We are also proud of Professor Charlotte Menné Bonefeld from https://lnkd.in/e5kHKceJ who is this year’s ESCD2026 Congress President and has been the driving force in organizing the Pre-symposium.  We are deeply grateful to the LEO Foundation // LEO Fondet for the generous support.
