🌸 The SIC Summer School in sunny Hornbæk is officially underway ☀️ After a short welcome by Jonathan Coquet, on behalf of the organising committee at LEO Foundation Skin Immunology Research Center (SIC), we kicked-off the SIC Summer School at Hotel Bretagne with two inspiring talks from internationally recognised researchers in skin immunology and T cell biology. Christina Zielinski (University of Jena and Cambridge University) introduced a novel mechanism of T cell cytotoxicity in her talk: “To die or to kill.” Georg Stary (Medical University of Vienna) followed with insights into skin immunity in his lecture: “Ticks, Tumors, and T Cells: What the Skin Reveals About Immunity.” A strong start to three days dedicated to scientific discussions, new perspectives, and connecting early-career researchers across disciplines.
