"We'll all meet back by the Dalek at the end of the exhibition..." Not something you expect to say during a work day but that was the case for our CEO Alice and Consultant Charli earlier this week. They were visiting the SOUND + VISION exhibition at the National Science and Media Museum where they hosted a range of disabled people from the Bradford and Leeds area. They were invited to experience the galleries and give their honest feedback, thoughts and ideas about their perspective visiting as a disabled person. We're really excited to be involved in this work - especially as a DPO (Disabled Peoples Organisation) that operates as a non-profit, we're beyond proud to be associated with such a recognised institution as the Science Museum Group. #AccessibleMuseums #DisabilityAccessible #SoundAndVision #ImageDescription 1: A black Dalek from Doctor Who is displayed inside a large cylindrical glass case in a museum-style exhibition space. The exhibit is illuminated from above and below, with dark walls and seating visible around the room. #ImageDescription 2: Two people pose for a selfie in an open plaza with a large “BRADFORD 2025” sign in the background. Pink benches are arranged across the paved space, and cloudy skies hang overhead. One person smiles at the camera while the other stands nearby holding a bag. #ImageDescription 3: A person lies in bed wearing headphones and using an assistive communication device mounted in front of their face. The image appears on a television or display screen as part of a documentary or presentation. Subtitles are visible at the bottom of the screen, and a sign-language interpreter appears in the lower-right corner.
