Senior Claims Handler – Madrid, Spain Join W. R. Berkley Spain and make an impact in the world of specialty claims! We’re looking for an experienced Senior Claims Handler to manage and resolve specialty claims for our Spanish branch of WR Berkley Europe AG. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your legal expertise and decision-making skills will truly matter. What You’ll Do Handle and manage assigned specialty claims in line with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Allocate reserves and manage payments within authorization limits. Coordinate external professionals such as lawyers, solicitors, experts, and investigators. Negotiate and execute out-of-court settlements. Provide personalized attention to brokers and major accounts. Participate in underwriting and claims meetings. What We’re Looking For Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (mandatory). Experience: 5+ years in claims handling, with at least 3 years in specialty claims. Skills:Strong legal expertise and claims management knowledge. Familiarity with claims management software and legal research tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Languages: Spanish (C2), English (B2).
