I’ve failed a lot. More than I like to admit. I’ve had my share of ghosted prospects, missed opportunities, and career pivots that didn't go as planned. In the past, it was easy to point to the circumstances or the timing, but the truth is simpler. I’m the one who made those decisions. And I’m the one who has to own them. There’s a specific weight to hitting rock bottom, whether it’s in a job search, a cold outreach campaign, or a personal project. But the fall isn't the story; it’s the act of pulling yourself together and moving forward that matters. I’ve realised that trying to control the future is a losing game, and ruminating on the past is just as ineffective. We only ever really have the present. It sounds like a cliché, but it’s the only truth I’ve found that actually works, you have to know when to draw the line. Sometimes, you do everything right, and it still doesn’t go your way. You have to be able to look yourself in the mirror, acknowledge that you gave it your best shot, and accept that "I tried" is a complete sentence. You can’t change what happened yesterday, and you can’t force what happens tomorrow. But you can control how you show up today. If you’re currently in the middle of a "failure" or a rough patch, keep showing up. The outcome isn't always in our hands, but the effort and the resilience always are. #Growth #Resilience #Reflection #Leadership #Mindset #Ownership #ProfessionalJourney
