A recent near miss gave me a strong reminder of something we say often at Shou’alah, and mean. Our Health and Safety Statement has it written down, but it still takes courage to act on it.... Everyone has the right to stop work. Not just managers, not just HSE, everyone. In this case, Angad Rajbhar used that right. He saw something that did not feel right, and he stopped the job. That is not “being difficult”, and it is not safety gone over the top. It's professionalism, it's ownership, it's looking after your mates. This is the Day 1 mindset in real life. Fresh eyes, no complacency, and the confidence to act before a near miss becomes an incident. Proud of Angad for speaking up, and proud of the culture we are building where people know they will be backed for making the safe call. Mission 2 Zero is not a poster, it is decisions like this, made in the moment. #Shoualah #Day1Mindset #Mission2Zero #ZeroHarm #OneTeam
