I recently finished my research and development internship at Sakana AI. It was an exciting opportunity to work on research-oriented development related to LLMs and agentic systems. Throughout the internship, I was able to discuss ideas with talented researchers, engineers, and interns from all over the world, build and test prototypes, and think deeply about open-ended problems. What I especially appreciated was the environment: people were very open to discussion, and I was able to learn not only technical skills, but also how to approach research problems, turn abstract ideas into concrete strategies, and validate them through experiments. I would like to sincerely thank my mentor Yuki Imajuku, my manager Takuya Akiba, my project members Yuichi Inoue and Kohki Horie, and everyone at Sakana AI for their guidance, support, and for giving me this valuable opportunity. I am also grateful to my fellow interns Zergham Ahmed, Ciaran Regan, Giacomo Bruno and so on. Learning, discussing ideas, and spending time with them made this internship even more memorable. I am excited to continue learning and building from this experience. #SakanaAI #LLM #AIResearch #Internship
