Over the past few weeks, I’ve watched people walk through my exhibit and emerge in tears. Not because the stories are all tragic—though some are. But because they’re honest. Some are inspiring. Some are quietly heroic. Some are deeply challenging to face. And all of them ask us to listen with more nuance than we’re usually encouraged to bring to the topic of Zionism. (RE)Defining Zionism isn’t about offering answers. It’s about making space for complexity, contradiction, and humanity, especially in places where the conversation has become dangerous or impossible. The Jewish Journal's Ryan Torok just published a piece about the exhibit. I'm grateful for their thoughtful coverage. The great news - It’s been extended in LA through August! However this is the final week the show will be open with regular hours Hillel at UCLA (M-F 10-4). After Friday, the hours are by appointment. If you haven’t seen it, and you're in or near LA, I hope you'll come. And if you’ve seen it, I’d love to know what stayed with you. Please share, so we can continue to have conversations that teach, not just preach. #Photography #Storytelling #Zionism #ArtForChange #JewishVoices #ComplexityMatters #UCLAHillel #RedefiningZionism Janet Haiavy Avi LevyAdriana Bodner Allison Bard Sarah Bunin Benor Cheryl Himmelstein David Light Dina Hellerstein Elaine Schmidt Erica Rothblum Rabbi Chaim Singer-Frankes Gabrielle Kaufman, LPCC, BC-DMT, NCC, PMH-C Hadar Geller, AIA Haleh Shoa Helena Pasquarella Julie Hermelin Jason Edelstein Josh W.
