Subcutaneous delivery is pushing past the conventional 1.0–2.0 mL range, and the discussion is shifting from how can we deliver larger volumes to how do we make it work in practice. At the Drug-Device Combination Products for Parenteral Use 2026 workshop in Basel, SHL Medical’s Alex Lyness PhD CEng, will present at the podium and join a panel discussion on what it takes to enable large-volume subcutaneous injection. These sessions will explore how increasing injection volumes and formulation complexity are reshaping device design, particularly in the 2.0–5.0 mL space, where delivery approaches are still evolving. If you’re interested in how large-volume subcutaneous delivery is evolving, we welcome you to join the sessions at Novotel Basel City on June 10.
