Shiseido Discovers That Age-Related Uneven Arterial Blood Flow Causes Facial Sagging🔬 Shiseido, in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin–Madison, investigated age-related changes in arteries and muscles of the face using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Through this study, the research team discovered that an uneven distribution of arterial blood flow causes facial sagging. They also found that safflower extract (benibana extract) and niacinamide help regulate blood flow balance. By combining findings on arterial conditions and age-related blood flow changes with its extensive knowledge accumulated through capillary research, Shiseido opens up new possibilities in blood vessel research.
