🎇 Announcing Cohort 04 of the Future Industries Demonstrator! 🎇 Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Innovation District is delighted to announce the five chosen businesses to be part of the Future Industries Demonstrator Building Better Programme. Alix, airifi, Ekkist, Kestrix, and Klimatise, are five outstanding SMEs tackling issues in health and sustainability in the Built Environment. Alix: An AI-powered platform helping housing providers tackle damp and mould more efficiently. airifi: Smart Windows that improve indoor environments through intelligent ventilation. Ekkist: A Healthy Homes Checklist tool making health-based design faster and more affordable. Kestrix: Drone-mounted thermal imaging and AI to plan efficient building retrofits. Klimatise: Cloud-based thermostats that cut emissions and improve comfort in commercial spaces. These five London-based innovators were chosen from a large field of incredible applicants and were amongst the businesses selected for the FID Hackathon last week. At the Hackathon, they further developed their trial plans, discussed proposals with key potential partners, and pitched their ideas to panels of local stakeholders. Our five cohort members will now receive: -         £16,000 grant to support their trial and scaling activities -         Trial Design Workshops run by innovation experts at Plexal -         Access to key industry partners -         Free workspace at Plexal The cohort will design and deliver inclusive innovation trials in and around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. These trials will demonstrate and iterate the their innovations, while involving and delivering value to local stakeholders. They will then showcase the results of their trials at the 2026 Innovation Forum. FID is funded by the Mayor of London and the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), which supports delivery of the government’s five national missions. We’re proud to be working together to support London’s innovation ecosystem by championing sustainable growth, community benefit and real-world testing in east London.
