š° Recently, Marine Construction Magazine asked #MarineIndustry professionals to share a safety practice that makes a meaningful difference on projects. š£ļø Our contribution, by Dominique Polte, highlighted the importance of š¹š¶š³š š½š¹š®š»š»š¶š»š“ during marine fender installation. Large fender systems often require complex lifting operations under challenging conditions. Component weights, load distribution, crane reach, environmental conditions and site constraints must all be considered before work begins. What is interesting, however, is that this is not simply a lifting issue. Marine fenders are šš®š³š²šš-š°šæš¶šš¶š°š®š¹ ššššš²šŗš. Their performance depends not only on design and manufacturing, but also on how they are installed, operated and maintained throughout their service life. š§šµš¶š š¶š ššµš š½š¹š®š»š»š¶š»š“ šŗš®ššš²šæš. A well-prepared lift plan helps identify risks before they become problems. It reduces uncertainty, improves coordination and supports safer execution under real project conditions. In many engineering projects, safety is often associated with what happens on site. In reality, some of the most effective safety measures are established long before the first component is lifted. š¦š®š³š²šš ššš®šæšš šš¶ššµ š½š¹š®š»š»š¶š»š“. #FenderInstallation #OnTheSafeSide #TrustedPartner
