#PIANC2024 – Greater Transparency in 𝗙𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 The new PIANC Guidelines (WG211) introduce a dedicated chapter on fender testing. However, the testing principles themselves have not changed compared to PIANC 2002. What has changed is the level of 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, and 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 within the testing framework. ➡️ In the past, certain aspects of testing were not always defined in sufficient detail, leaving room for interpretation. ➡️ PIANC 2024 defines clearer limits, terminology, and reporting requirements to improve consistency. Our testing procedures were already aligned with the practices now formalized under PIANC 2024.
