As someone from the Middle East, I am deeply worried about my family, friends, and loved ones across the region, especially in Syria and Lebanon. Less than 10 hours after a regional ceasefire was announced, Israeli forces carried out large‑scale airstrikes across Lebanon, hitting cities including Beirut, Saida, and Baalbek. Hospitals are reporting mass casualties, with civilians — including children — among the injured and killed. Lebanon is a diverse, beautiful, and vital country. It has opened its doors to refugees from Palestine, Syria, Iraq, and beyond, even while facing its own ongoing crises. Today, its people are once again paying an unbearable price. MSF teams are responding to mass influxes of injured patients as health care workers and facilities themselves come under attack. Civilians and health care must never be targets. My thoughts are with everyone in Lebanon and across the Middle East who is living through this violence. 🔗 More information from MSF: https://lnkd.in/eycFgk-5 #Lebanon #Syria #MiddleEast #Iran #ProtectCivilians #ProtectHealthCare #MSF #Ceasefire #NotATarget #HumanitarianLaw
