Tomorrow is International Day of the Midwife. I’ve had the honor of working with and alongside many incredible midwives in very different contexts, whether remotely or on-site. I deeply admire their determination, courage, and the quiet strength they bring every day. Their work makes an extraordinary difference, especially in emergencies, whether during conflicts or disasters. Midwives do everything they can to ensure that bringing new life into the world should never be dangerous, even in the most challenging circumstances. To all my midwife colleagues around the world: happy International Day of the Midwife. Thank you for everything you do for mothers and newborns, for the lives you protect today, and for the future of our humanity. https://lnkd.in/ea84RaTi
