The Social Work Interest Group (SWIG) EXCO Ong Jing Ling Darren Cephas Lim Jia Yin Goh Khin Ingyin Lae, our Year 4 Advisor Samuel Law, our Staff & Faculty Mentors Tammie Moo & Mr Chua Timothy recently had a luncheon with the SUSS School of Social Work and Social Development (SWSD)'s beloved Dean & Vice Dean, Dr Vincent Ng & Dr Sylvia Mun. Beyond just sharing SWIG's updates, we had fruitful discussions on how SWIG & SUSS School of Social Work and Social Development can better align our efforts to strengthen the student experience & prepare future social work professionals for the sector (there were a lot of exciting news shared!). I am really grateful for the immense support that the school has for us. Being the pioneering EXCO does indeed have its challenges... but having Deans who are extremely proactive has made the past 4 months so much easier to manage. It is incredibly reassuring to know that every social work student in SUSS School of Social Work and Social Development will be supported every step of the way.
