🚀 From Day One to Launch: My First Product Baby 💛   I’ve worked on many products — but this one will always be special. It was my first baby as a Product Specialist.   Why a baby? Because I saw it through every stage — from conception to the launch which happened yesterday.   On my very first official day at work (yes, the one where you meet the Head of Department 😅), Jemima Kariuki- Njuguna looked at me-her words may not have been exact, but this is how they’ve stayed with me ever since,   “We hired you for your energy and great attitude. I want you to work on something new and fresh as the test lead, so you can see the impact of your efforts when it launches.” I smiled and said, “You’ve made the right call.”   Months later, I was working side-by-side with our Technical Lead, Abdul Hakeem Ssebagala and a powerhouse products team at Group: Zanele Nhlapo ,Danisa Mashamba,Phathu Nenzhelele,Mlamuli Chauke,Ikaneng Nongena -just to name a few. Together, we ran workshops to refine the product design, scope, and UX/UI while I ensured that insights specific to the Ugandan market were fully incorporated.   We then, assembled a dynamic team of young talent, we usually refer to them as the NextGen team. With boundless energy and eagerness to learn, they thrived under my guidance, evolving into exceptional testers and quality assessors. Witnessing their growth is truly unforgettable – a joy that's hard to put into words!   After pouring our hearts and souls into this project, the small wins kept me motivated, especially reaching MVP 1.   And if I had to pick just one favorite feature? It’s our biometric login — fingerprint or facial recognition for seamless access.
