Just look at the effect he had on her starting with episode 1 of Planet Earth 2. Sir David Attenborough was her biggest inspiration and today, he turns 100-years old. She dragged us all around the world chasing the desires he instilled in her. Many thought for years it was the other way around. Not so. She would have loved this day. Many friends of mine were lucky enough to work with him including Andy B Casagrande IV and Jonathan Jones. Sir David was kind enough to send Layla some things as she battled her brain cancer, with this taken long before her battle began. I was sure to record the first time she watched Planet Earth 2. I remember the feeling at this time, the unity, the hope, the belief that we could actually turn around all the destruction we have done to this world. It all feels so hopeless now with lunacy, ego, and greed driving. But, when the pendulum swings in one direction, it always swings back just as hard. Our time is coming once again, and this time, we will take no prisoners. It is time for the Jedi, to be just as ruthless, as the Sith. My hope is that the brightest minds such as Jonathan Foley and Thomas W. Crowther will help us all wisen up, and allow them to lead the way. Happy birthday Sir David. Your mission will live on…
