I will be speaking on a panel at the National Young Lawyers and Pupils Committee Conference 2023, discussing the growing importance of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) regulatory requirements for businesses. As lawyers, we have a critical role to play in assisting businesses navigate ESG issues and comply with emerging regulations. ESG considerations are becoming increasingly critical for companies as consumers, investors, and stakeholders demand greater transparency and accountability. Businesses have a responsibility to consider the impact of their operations on the environment, society, and the communities they serve, and to take steps to mitigate negative impacts and enhance positive ones. I'm honoured to have the opportunity to share my thoughts and insights on this important topic and look forward to contributing to the conversation on how businesses can integrate ESG principles into their operations and how lawyers can help them navigate these complex issues.
