The adoption of Agentic AI is accelerating, and governance and risk frameworks are evolving rapidly to keep pace with increasingly autonomous systems. Firms are investing in AI governance to enable responsible deployment, although challenges remain around infrastructure readiness and building trust in local cloud solutions. Sharing the views with The Economic Times, our Partner Shahana Chatterji said that “while broader industry practice and regulations emerge on this, enterprises should treat autonomous agents like employees. Best practices like enforcing strict identity management and access control should be implemented, immutable audit logs and real-time kill-switches should be built in. Furthermore, there must always be a human in the loop." She further highlighted that low focus on third-party risk is a serious concern, as securing internal systems matters little if external APIs or models are compromised.
