🔍Detecting the Invisible:- Turning Computer Vision into a Tool for Environmental Protection What if detecting microplastics in water didn't always require expensive laboratory equipment? This question inspired our project, Microplastics Detection in Water—an intelligent prototype that combines ESP32-CAM, Python, and OpenCV to identify particle-like contaminants through computer vision and image processing. The goal was to explore how embedded systems and AI can make environmental monitoring more accessible, affordable, and efficient. By capturing water sample images and analyzing them in real time, the system demonstrates a practical approach to supporting water quality assessment and pollution awareness. 🔹 Key Highlights • AI-assisted microplastic detection using Computer Vision • Real-time image acquisition with ESP32-CAM • Automated particle identification through image processing • Low-cost prototype for smart environmental monitoring • Integration of Embedded Systems, IoT, and Artificial Intelligence 🔹 Technologies Used: ✅ ESP32-CAM ✅ Python ✅ OpenCV ✅ NumPy ✅ Computer Vision ✅ Image Processing ✅ Embedded Systems ✅ IoT & Wireless Communication This project reflects how technology can be applied beyond automation—towards solving environmental challenges that impact our future. It also strengthened my passion for building intelligent systems that create meaningful real-world impact. A heartfelt thanks to my teammates Jebarson E , Yosica P and NEHA S for their collaboration and dedication throughout this journey. Looking forward to exploring more innovations in AI, Embedded Systems, Computer Vision, and Sustainable Technology. #ArtificialIntelligence #ComputerVision #EmbeddedSystems #ESP32CAM #OpenCV #Python #IoT #EnvironmentalTechnology #WaterQuality #Microplastics #Innovation #Engineering #StudentProject
