Delighted to share that I’ve been awarded a Regional FY1 Award for Clinical Excellence 🏆 A completely unexpected recognition while simply focusing on learning, improving, and making the most of every opportunity. Having completed rotations in General Medicine and Trauma & Orthopaedics, and now in A&E, it’s been an incredible journey of growth—clinically and personally 🚑 Alongside clinical work, I’ve been fortunate to contribute to multiple audits, ongoing research projects, co-author a neurology examination guideline for Warwick Medical School’s clinical skills booklet, and lead teaching sessions for both doctors and medical students. I’ve also had the opportunity to perform procedures such as lumbar punctures and suturing in acute settings—experiences that have been both challenging and rewarding. For current and incoming junior doctors, one piece of advice - Don’t hesitate to ask and actively seek out opportunities. There are always senior colleagues willing to teach and support your development. If you stay motivated and proactive, those opportunities will come. Progress takes time, consistency, and effort. This award is a meaningful reminder that hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, and I’m incredibly grateful to the consultant who nominated me. #FY1 #JuniorDoctors #ClinicalExcellence #MedEd #NHS #Healthcare #Growth
