So grateful for the opportunity to attend the American Hospital Association Healthier Communities Conference this week in Dallas, TX. It was inspiring to hear leaders like Daniel Dawes speak on deepening our understanding of the drivers of health and longevity, while challenging healthcare leaders to move from insight to action. One statement that stood out to me was: “You stand at the intersection of care and community, of science and humanity, of trust and action.” It was a powerful reminder of the importance of asking our communities the right questions and using both data and lived experiences to improve outcomes for all. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the Baylor Scott & White Health Wellness Center and learning about their holistic approach to health and wellness. I also enjoyed participating in the pre-conference innovation workshop, where healthcare leaders collaborated to co-create solutions focused on advanced patient engagement strategies within our organizations. I’m leaving this experience energized, reflective, and even more committed to strengthening community-centered healthcare initiatives. Also Shout out to Brandi Smith, MPH and Barbara Bell , MSOL for their kindness and words of wisdom throughout the conference. #ahahospital
