๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐๐! https://lnkd.in/gFbhS7_H In this study, we show that treatment with a ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐จ๐๐ก๐จ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ข๐-๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ฑ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ญ (๐๐ค๐1) attenuates ๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ฉ๐ญ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐, but not ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐ญ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐, signalling in the gastrocnemius muscle of mice with ovarian cancer. Interestingly, despite reducing mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (ROS) and apoptotic signalling, ๐๐ค๐1 ๐๐ข๐ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ค๐๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ฐ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ (cachexia) during ovarian cancer progression. These findings suggest that: 1๏ธโฃ ๐๐๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐ญ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ may not be a key contributor to ovarian cancerโinduced cachexiaย 2๏ธโฃ ๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ฉ๐ญ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ might influence muscle wasting through mechanisms independent of canonical apoptosis pathways.
