๐ JMBF President Highlights LGBTQI+ Rights Crisis in Bangladesh at Paris Debate On 29 June 2026, JMBF President Advocate Shahanur Islam spoke at the international event "LGBTQI+ Rights Around the World" in Paris, organized by Solidaritรฉ International LGBTQI+. Addressing activists, diplomats, and human rights defenders from 14 countries, he raised alarm over the worsening situation for LGBTQI+ people in Bangladesh since August 2024, highlighting rising extremist violence, attacks against queer and trans people, threats against activists, the expulsion of LGBTQI+ students from educational institutions, and increasing hate speech on social media.
