Starting your HR career and confused about how to register your company under Provident Fund (EPF)? No worries, here’s a detailed and easy-to-follow guide curated just for you! Why is PF Registration Important? 1. Mandatory if your company has 20 or more employees. 2. Voluntary registration allowed even with less than 20. 3. Helps ensure compliance under the Employees' Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. Step-by-Step PF Registration for Employers (via EPFO Portal): Step 1: Go to the EPFO Portal Visit https://lnkd.in/dzxeiRxH Click on “Establishment Registration” under “Services > For Employers” It will redirect you to the Unified Shram Suvidha Portal 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ddgmu3Uh Step 2: Create an Employer Account Click on “Sign Up” Enter: Name Email Mobile number Set a password After registration, log in using your credentials. Step 3: Start the New Registration Once logged in, click “Registration” > “Apply for New Registration” Choose: EPF or EPF + ESIC (if applicable) Click Submit Step 4: Fill the Establishment Details 1. PAN of the company 2. Name & type of establishment (Private Ltd, Partnership, etc.) 3. Date of incorporation 4. Business activity (NIC Code) 5. Address, email, contact number 6. Details of directors/partners/proprietors Step 5: Upload Required Documents (Scanned Copies in PDF/JPEG): 1. Company PAN Card 2. Address Proof (Electricity Bill/Rent Agreement) 3. Cancelled Cheque (Company Bank Account) 4. Aadhaar & PAN of Owners/Directors 5. Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) of Authorized Signatory (Class 2 or Class 3) 6. Incorporation Certificate / MSME Certificate (if available) 7. Specimen Signature (PDF) Step 6: Fill Employee Details (If Needed Initially) You may add employee details if asked: 1. Name, DOB, Gender, DOJ, Basic Salary 2. Aadhaar, PAN 3. Bank details Note: You can also update employee details later through the ECR upload process. Step 7: Submit & Verify 1. Review all filled data carefully 2. Attach your DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) to verify 3. Submit the application Step 8: Get Your PF Code (Establishment ID) 1.
