My newest podcast episode is all about social media and technology and in it I talk about how what we follow on social media can impact our sense of wellbeing our mindset and our overall mental health( see previous post) Do you know what I mean? Have you found yourself getting sucked into watching, reading or commenting on negative posts? Maybe you get sucked into arguments or heated discussions ( you might not post or comment but you may find yourself reading them). Maybe you watch the news and every post/ update is on your phone when you log in to your social media? Maybe you have friends who share content you don't really want to see. Everything you consume on social media is your choice. You choose who you follow. We need to be more specific about what we are consuming and realize that it has a direct impact on our thoughts, beliefs & feelings. This is really powerful stuff and we have to take action and be intentional about what we want to consume. Do a social media detox. Go to your platforms and unfollow or hide content you do not need to see. Ask yourself this " Does this add value to my life? does it make me feel good?" If the answer is no, then get rid of it. You decide. Be in control! Let's teach our children this life lesson now whilst they are young-
