Sometimes the most important lesson from a conference happens before the conference even begins. On my flight to ADA Scientific Sessions, I was reminded of a message that would stay with me long after I left New Orleans. As physicians, we spend years learning how to treat disease. But some of the most powerful healing comes from something much simpler: Creating space and Offering reassurance. When I stood on the ADA stage speaking about "From Stigma to Equity in Obesity Care." I realized that equity is not just about policies, guidelines, access, or medications. The journey from #stigma to #equity begins when we: • Choose compassion over assumptions. • Create dignity in moments of vulnerability. • Design care and environments that work for everyone. The journey from stigma to equity does not start in a conference hall. It starts with seeing the person before the disease. And perhaps that is the most important medicine we can offer. ✈️ Next Prescription Passport: Traveling with diabetes and obesity medications what every patient should know before takeoff.
