I am delighted to share that my latest research article has been published in İSTEM Journal. "From Herat to Isfahan: Aesthetic Continuity and Transformation in Turco-Persian Miniature Painting (Kamāl al-Dīn Behzād and Rezā ʿAbbāsī)" The article examines how artistic ideas developed in the Timurid court ateliers were reinterpreted during the Safavid period, focusing on the works of Kamāl al-Dīn Behzād and Rezā ʿAbbāsī. Through comparative formal and iconographic analysis, it explores questions of artistic continuity, visual transformation, and court patronage across two of the most influential periods of Persian painting.
