There are leaders who drive performance, and there are leaders who shape the identity of an organization. Karim Yahi Bey has done both. As Coca-Cola CCI turns another page in its remarkable journey, it is difficult to say goodbye to a leader whose vision, courage and belief in people have left an indelible mark on all of us. For Coca-Cola CCI Bangladesh, his legacy is especially meaningful. It was his bold vision that brought Coca-Cola CCI to Bangladesh, creating opportunities for thousands of people and laying the foundation for what has become an incredible journey. He challenged us to think bigger, inspired us with the belief that “Amra Ek Number” is not just an aspiration but a mindset, and showed us what it truly means to be an #Unstoppable #OneTeam. Beyond the strategy, investments and growth, what I will remember most is the person. Every visit to Bangladesh brought an energy that was impossible to miss. His smile, warmth and genuine interest in people had an extraordinary way of lifting spirits. We often joked that Bangladesh was his happiest country and that he had a “smile-o-meter” - because wherever he went, people smiled with him. That positivity became part of our culture and reminded us that great leadership is measured not only by business results but by the hope and confidence it inspires in others. The CCI Tigers in Bangladesh are proud of what we are building today, and we know that much of it stands on the strong foundations you helped create. Your legacy will continue to live on through our people, our culture and our unwavering ambition to keep raising the bar. This is a particularly special moment for me personally. Ahmet Bey was my very first boss in the South Asia & Middle East region, and over the years I have had the privilege of watching him lead with humility, integrity and an unwavering focus on people. More recently, as COO of CCI, he has been a pillar of strength for all of us - always approachable, thoughtful and deeply committed to helping our markets succeed. I know firsthand the values he brings to leadership and the confidence he inspires in those around him.
