Last week, Jo Noesgaard, Aliza Levy and Dr Ed Wensing joined planners and policymakers from across the country at the 2026 Planning Institute of Australia Congress in Canberra. Jo and Aliza led discussions on delivering open space in increasingly dense urban environments, while conversations across the conference reflected many of the challenges shaping cities and regions right now: housing, planning reform, infrastructure funding and making infill development work better. It was also great to hear how SGS projects are continuing to support councils and governments across Australia, and to see Ed deliver the Acknowledgement of Country during the Congress program. A valuable few days of ideas, conversations and reconnecting with the sector.
