Day 2 of AISA #CyberConnect2026 is underway, with the Servers Australia team currently in Canberra taking part in the conversations shaping the future of cyber security in Australia. Day 1 has already proved valuable, with the event format allowing for more in-depth discussions around the challenges, opportunities, and future direction of the cyber security landscape. AI was front and centre across many sessions – from current use cases through to future expectations and the role it’ll continue to play in cyber security operations, governance, and risk management. There was also a strong focus on Australia’s position in the Asia-Pacific region, including discussions around government grants, investment, and how we continue building capability locally to remain leaders in cyber security. Other standout conversations covered: - The future landscape of cyber security and what organisations should be preparing for now - Reducing the gender gap in cyber security and breaking down barriers to entry - Shifting cyber security frameworks beyond simple box-ticking towards real business ownership and outcomes. It’s been great to have the opportunity to connect with others in the cyber security space.
