This week, we kicked off the first session of our new Boards & Commissions Fellowship! Fellows dove into the fundamentals of publicly appointed boards and commissions—exploring enabling legislation, member terms, and the various appointment processes. We also had the opportunity to hear directly from guest speakers who have served on a variety of boards, sharing real-world insights and lessons learned. It’s exciting to see this group of leaders from across South Louisiana stepping up and preparing to serve their communities in impactful ways. Looking forward to what’s ahead!
