8 липня 2026 р. завідувача кафедри метеорології та кліматології Київського національного університету імені Тараса Шевченка професора Сергія Сніжка та його колегу професора Потсдамського університету Акселя Бронстерта було запрошено генеральним директором (СЕО) німецького Фонду «VolkswagenStiftung», державним секретарем Німечини Георгом Шютте до участі у літньому прийомі фонду. Захід відбувся на даху «Гумбольдт-Форуму» в центрі Берліну. Гостями форуму були представники науки, політики, економіки, ЗМІ та різних фондів. Захід проведено з метою створення додаткової можливості стипендіатам, співробітникам та партнерам фонду зустрітися, поспілкуватися та налагодити нові контакти. Під час спілкування з державним секретарем було обговорено питання стану української науки та освіти під час війни, можливості підтримки фондом нових спільних українсько- німецьких ініціатив у галузі зміни клімату та водних ресурсів On July 8, 2026, Professor Sergiy Snizhko, head of the Department of Meteorology and Climatology at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and his colleague, Professor Axel Bronsert of the University of Potsdam, were invited by the CEO of the German VolkswagenStiftung Foundation, German State Secretary Georg Schütte, to attend the foundation’s summer reception. The event took place on the rooftop of the Humboldt Forum in central Berlin. Guests at the forum included representatives from the fields of science, politics, business, the media, and various foundations. The event was organized to provide an additional opportunity for the foundation’s scholarship recipients, staff, and partners to meet, interact, and establish new contacts. During the conversation with the State Secretary, they discussed the state of Ukrainian science and education during the war, as well as the foundation’s potential to support new joint Ukrainian-German initiatives in the fields of climate change and water resources.
