Automated vehicle passengers’ acceptance and perception of the risk! Check out our recent multidisciplinary publication led by Michael Pascale and Sebastien Glaser. We evaluated the passengers’ acceptance and perception of risk while riding an #AV. I was part of the technology development team with Sebastien Glaser, Amit Trivedi, and Sebastien Demmel. We had several developments to make sure the AV's performance is safe and repeatable. - Approaching several roundabouts in automated mode, -Interacting with pedestrian crossing, -Fusing perception sensors for robust detection, -Sharing the vehicle’s control with an expert driver in poor geometric visibility You can have 50-days free access to this publication with the link below https://lnkd.in/gEXaGeFy Our team at CARRS-Q Michael Pascale, David Rodwell, Peter Coughlan, Sherrie-Anne Kaye, Sebastien Demmel, Andy Bond, Ioni Lewis, Andry Rakotonirainy, and Sebastien Glaser QUT (Queensland University of Technology), CARRS-Q, iMOVE Australia, Department of Transport and Main Roads #roadsafety #queensland #automatedvehicles #sensorfusion #robotics This work was supported by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland), Queensland University of Technology, and iMOVE Australia.
