When it comes to fracture risk, quitting smoking isn’t the whole story—what you do with your weight matters. A study by Prof. Sang Min Park’s team found that men newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes who quit smoking and kept their weight steady had lower risks of overall and hip fractures.
