Yesterday, we celebrated the power of Telethon and the difference it makes for children across WA at the 2026 Telethon Giving Celebration. This special event recognises and celebrates the beneficiaries receiving Telethon funding this year, made possible by the extraordinary generosity of Western Australians and the record-breaking $90.6 million raised in 2025. We are deeply grateful for the continued support of Telethon through the New Buds Program grant, which allows us to provide expert early intervention for children aged 0–11 with vision and/or hearing loss (or at risk of). Following a successful 2025 — when we supported 30 children and their families across WA and delivered over 1,200 hours of therapy — we are excited to announce further funding for 2026. New Buds provides early childhood intervention for children who may not yet have access to funding, ensuring that no child is left behind while waiting for diagnosis or support.
