The pediatrician Albert Eckstein, who fled the rise of Nazism, came to our country, Turkey, in 1935 at the invitation of the new republic. Eckstein, who started to work as the Director of Pediatrics Service at Ankara Numune Hospital, conducted research on maternal and child health all over our country. Photographs taken by Eckstein, who is also a photographer, were published recently by Cambridge University.
