Selling a car in WA? One of the first things a serious buyer will check is the PPSR. A PPSR report shows whether a vehicle has a security interest registered against it. In plain English, that usually means a bank, lender or finance company may still have a claim over the car. That does not always mean the sale is dead. Sometimes the finance is still owing and needs to be paid out at settlement. Sometimes the loan was paid off years ago but the lender never removed the registration. Either way, it is much better to find out before a buyer does. Our latest guide explains: • What a PPSR report actually shows • How to read the key sections •What a security interest means • What to do if one appears • Why written off or stolen status matters • How WA sellers can avoid messy settlement delays At Sell My Car Pro, we run PPSR checks on every vehicle we buy. If finance needs to be paid out, we coordinate directly with the lender and handle the WA Department of Transport paperwork as part of the process.
