Değerli Bağlantılarım, Şubat ayında oğlumuz Kuzey Alaz’ı kucağımıza almanın heyecanını yaşarken daha 14 günlük iken oğlumuzun SMA tip1 hastası olduğunu öğrendik. Türkiye’deki tedavimize başladık ancak kalıcı kas kaybı olmadan yurtdışında gen tedavisi alması gerekiyor. Bu sebeple 1 Mart’ta 59.2024.1042 faaliyet numaralı valilik onaylı yardım kampanyamızı (2.2 milyon dolar) başlattık ve kampanyamızın şuan oranı %44tür. Oğlumuzun bu hastalıkla hiç tanışmadan gen tedavisine ulaşabilmesi içi yardımlarınızı bekliyoruz. Ne kadar çok kişiye ulaşabilirsek oğlumuzun tedaviye kavuşma şansı artacak. SMA is a severe neurodegenerative genetic disease that causes muscle weakness and atrophy. Even though our baby has started his treatment in Turkiye, he will be able to reach to a much more effective treatment with a single dose, thanks to gene therapy (Zolgensma) he can only receive abroad (not available in Türkiye). Access to this treatment, if given at birth (or within the first 6 months of life) and before symptoms develop, could make a difference in Kuzey Alaz’s future life. However, the cost far exceeds what we can afford. Kuzey Alaz needs your support for this very costly treatment (~2.2 mio $).
