A 50‑year‑old building, redesigned for the future. SEKISUI’s Head Office in Osaka has been renovated. The 50 year old building has turned into a future-ready workplace that balances employee well‑being and performance while embedding sustainability and SDGs at its core. Key highlights include: 🏙 Exterior design inspired by water, the origin of SEKISUI’s name 🔋 Integration of more than 20 SEKISUI CHEMICAL products, including perovskite solar cells 🌱 Reduction of life-cycle CO₂ emissions by extending the building’s lifespan. By retaining the existing structural framework the project avoided emissions associated with new construction materials. 🏆 First tenant building over 30 years old to receive the highest CASBEE Smart Wellness Office rating, evaluating building performances regarding occupational health, comfort, convenience, safety, and security.
