An ultra-urban logistics hub beneath the streets of Paris is not something you come across every day. Our Managing Director for Continental Europe, Marco Simonetti recently welcomed Commercial Real Estate Media Europe to explore our Les Gobelins facility, a site that brings last-mile logistics right into the heart of the city. Originally developed as a freight station and later transformed over decades, Les Gobelins has been reimagined as a modern logistics hub serving central Paris, combining historic infrastructure with the demands of today’s supply chains. As Marco explains in the feature, opportunities like this are exceptionally rare. The location, the existing structure and the complexity of delivering a project of this kind make it something that would be difficult to replicate today.  During the visit Marco also shared details of his career to date and how this has shaped his approach to running our Continental European business. He also discussed his thoughts and insights on the European I&L market and how SEGRO is creating amazing spaces to meet the ever-evolving needs of occupiers across the seven European countries we operate within.
