Although 2050 is still far in the future… …working on developing a more sustainable agricultural and food system is already underway. This is highlighted in a new national roadmap developed by Food & Bio Cluster Denmark, which brings together knowledge from both research and practice and outlines the key challenges and focus areas on the path towards a climate-neutral agricultural and food system. Among the roadmap’s four lead authors is our colleague Janni Hales, who has played a leading role in consolidating knowledge, challenges, and opportunities within animal production. She has done so in collaboration with leading experts from Aarhus University, DTU - Technical University of Denmark, and University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet), as well as with contributions from several hundred researchers and experts. We are proud that SEGES Innovation’s scientific and professional capabilities play a central role in strengthening the knowledge and action base for the future agricultural and food system. Among the key points of the roadmap are: More large-scale testing, documentation, and real-world validation are needed before solutions can be scaled and implemented in practice. This is exactly where SEGES Innovation operates – at the intersection between research and practice, through practice-oriented large-scale trials, method development, and innovation. We are ready to bring knowledge into reality – now and in the future. Link to roadmap: https://lnkd.in/eesA2MUh
