The SIA licence card has several security features that are quick and easy to check. You need to use a UV light for one of these. ➡️ What to look for on the front of a licence card 📌 Name is raised: The licence holder’s name is embossed on the card, not printed on. You should be able to run your finger over the name and feel that it is raised. 📌 Hologram: You should be able to see a hologram when you tilt the licence card backward and forward. 📌 SIA logos: A UV light should reveal the SIA logo in the top right and bottom left corners of the licence card. ➡️ What to look for on the back of a licence card 📌 Bar code: On the back of the licence card there is a bar code in the top-left corner.
