Cartier Calibre de Cartier Why We Love the Calibre de Cartier The Calibre de Cartier family represents the first "official" manufacture movement (for a core collection) for the Cartier line. It began with the MC1904, a double barrel mainspring, 48hr power reserve, time/date watch that was used in the inital Calibre de Cartier, Calibre Diver, and eventually the Tank MC. A lot of watch fans were wondering: why have two mainspring barrels with such a "standard" power reserve? The answer: to power the complications!
